There are two keys: one for the front door and one for the apartment door. The key for the apartment door has a round end, while the key for the front door has a square end.
Our apartment is located on the second floor on the right side. Please note that the building does not have an elevator, so there are a few stairs to climb.
The apartment has four rooms. The following are available to you:
The Wi-Fi network is named Martin. You will find the access data in the hallway on the telephone shelf.
In the kitchen, there are 3 garbage bins. There are two small bins under the sink for organic waste and residual waste. There are 2 bins for plastics and paper, which stand separately in the kitchen. You can throw the garbage bags into the large garbage can in the courtyard. There are bins for organic waste, residual waste, and paper. Unfortunately, there is no bin for plastics, but you can exceptionally throw plastic waste into the residual waste or leave it in the apartment.
In the courtyard next to the basement, the garbage bins are located in a locked room. You can open the room with the key from the front door.
For shopping, we recommend Netto at Marktplatz 5 or Rewe at Zeppelinstraße 6. Both are open from 7 AM to 8 PM and are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
There are many good restaurants in the region.
The Lindau-Insel train station is only a 5-minute walk away. From there, there are trains to Friedrichshafen, Munich, Austria, and other directions. Nearby is also the Stadttheater bus stop. At the harbor, there are boats to Switzerland, Austria, and scenic cruises, which unfortunately do not operate in winter.
We recommend a trip to Bregenz and from there by cable car to the Pfänder. From there, you have a great view of Lake Constance and the mountains.
Meersburg is also a beautiful city that you can reach by public transport or by car.
Lindau offers many sights and excursion destinations.
The Lindau-Therme is a beautiful wellness center with a sauna and swimming pool.
There is a weekly market by the small lake that offers regional products.
If you have any questions about the neighborhood, local conditions, or the house, please do not hesitate to ring at our neighbors Adelina and Sander. Their apartment is directly opposite ours. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They are happy to help with any concerns or uncertainties.
On the island, there are many doctors and pharmacies. If needed, we can happily provide a recommendation.
